Grass is nice, no prickles. But doesn't cease to amaze me that the lighting, so bright when on that it's "in your face" a km away, are rarely on in the evenings so when it's cool enough to walk the dogs or jog it's a pitch black pit surrounded by bush. Worse when they have been on then flick off with zero warning when you might be at the opposite side of the oval. Council says you can pay to have them on, sports clubs for games and BBQs etc, but it's very expensive and no option to have only a few on since walking doesn't need the same amount as sports. This has disappointed me for many years and now I'm older with no sprinting left in me I don't dare go at night and dogs miss out on evening runs, me on my barefoot walks.Would also love to see a public roster up to notify us of days/afternoons when clubs are practicing/playing so we know which afternoons are free from running and shouting.
